Wright Barker, Died January 18, 1904, age eighty-four years and nine months. (which would have meant he was b. in 1819)
A descendant of Lenora Sophia Barker, daughter of Joy and Mary Jane Barker, writes:
"That would be the word Dereham - in the 1798 to 1975 it would have meant Dereham Township in Oxford County, Ontario, Canada. The small village of Ostrander was located in that Township, same for the village of Mt. Elgin & the cemetery. From 1975 to present, Dereham township was renamed to South West Oxford."
Celestia Carlson's father's tombstone reads that Ariel was "Son of Josiah & Nancy Barker, d. Jan. 12, 1881, at 70 yrs, 5 mos." (Mount Hope Cemetery Corp. and Crematory, Bangor, ME.)
Rootsweb World Connect, John Shaw of Plymouth Plantation in Progress lists Ariel's siblings, which include Wright and Joy. Possibly Wright was the uncle that Celestia was visiting in Canada when she met her first husband, Cephas Barker.
