Emmett - Memorial services for Rodney Dale McConnel, 24, who was lost in an auto accident June 23 in the North Fork of the Payette River, will be conductd at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Emett United Methodist Church by the Rev. Elam J. Anderson.

He was born April 26, 1950, at Emmett, attended schools in Emmett, was active in sports and band. He also attended Boise State College. He was a member of the Order of DeMolay and the United Methodist Church. He worked for Boise Cascade Corp. He was a member of the U.S. Navy from Oct. 1969 until May 1972, serving on the USS Ranger. He worked for the Forest Service and Miller Construction Co, and lived in Cascade.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William McConnel of Emmett; two sisters, Sharon and Sandra McConnel of Boise; grandparents, Mrs. Alma McConnel and Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Woody od Emmett, and several aunts and uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be given to the Search Fund at First Security Bank, in care of Mary Irving.
