Harlan "Harley" B. McConnel

Harley

Harlan was one of the four McConnel brothers who homesteaded in High Valley. (See High Valley map) Walter and Harlan both received their homestead patents in 1904. Soon after receiving his homestead patent, he sold to his brothers Walter and Arthur. By the time of the 1910 census he was in Twin Falls County. Later that year he married Sara F. "Sadie" Smith of Idaho City. Her brother was postmaster at Ola for several years. Harley and Sadie had one daughter, Dorothy Katherine. Harley was killed in an accident at Milner Dam October 1928.
